Our Value Proposition

Pilates Just Plane Works offers a studio with a welcoming environment conducive to wellness. PJPW is a fully equipped studio specializing in resistance based training where you will be taught by our movement educators who are highly certified instructors, committed to teaching you proper alignment and exercises using total mind/body awareness.

 

Our Difference

PJPW began in 2011 as a home studio with 6 mats and 2 Reformers relocating to our spacious, bright new studio in 2015, expanding in the spring of 2017 to 3000 square feet. PJPW provides resistance-based Pilates training using state of the art equipment uniquely designed to Pilates. Our Reformer and Springboard classes offer a personal approach (with a maximum class size of 10) where meeting the needs of each client can be achieved. This individual attention enables a progression that readily allows the client to feel and see the results as their core gets stronger, their muscles are lengthened and balance is created as their mind becomes more in tune with their body.

 

Why do Resistance-based Training?

Pushing and pulling with arms and/or legs against resistance strengthens muscles while building support around the joints. The exercises provide enough resistance and movement variety to develop strong bones. Eccentric contractions (when a muscle lengthens as it resists a force) are key to achieving long strong muscles, along with inner core strength, that Pilates is known for.
